Roelant Oltmans Refuses to Continue As Coach of Pakistan Hockey Team

The Dutch coach of the Pakistan hockey team, Roland Oortmans, has decided not to continue in his position, causing major concern just before the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy. The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and Oortmans could not agree on the terms of the contract. Oortmans wanted a long-term contract, while the PHF preferred to offer him  an event-based contract. This difference of opinion led to his decision to step down. This development comes at a crucial time, as the team is already  weakened by the absence of several experienced players, many of whom are  playing in overseas leagues  or  unavailable due to other commitments. The Pakistan team, currently on tour of China,  faces the added challenge of preparing for the upcoming tournament without their head coach and key players.
