PM Shehbaz Sharif Promises to Give 1 Million Smartphones to Students This Year:



Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a major initiative to distribute one million smartphones to students across Pakistan. The program is part of the government's broader efforts to integrate technology into education and ensure equitable access to digital resources. Distribution will be merit-based to ensure that only eligible students have access to the devices. In addition to the smartphones, the prime minister also revealed plans to provide laptops to students and  send selected students to China for further agricultural studies. These initiatives are aimed at bridging the digital divide, improving education and supporting the country's agricultural development. Additionally, Shehbaz Sharif announced that 200,000 youths will receive free IT training annually to prepare them for the global job market.
