Arshad Nadeem wins javelin Gold Medal

Arshad Nadeem made history  by winning the gold medal in the men's javelin at the Paris 2024 Olympics with an Olympic record throw of 92.97 meters. With this victory, Pakistan not only won its first Olympic gold medal in athletics but also its first Olympic medal in any sport since 1992. Nadeem's phenomenal throw not only broke the previous Olympic record but also secured his place as one of the best javelin throwers in the world. His victory came in a tightly contested field where the reigning Olympic champion, India's Neeraj Chopra, won the  silver medal with a throw of 89.45 meters.  Anderson Peters of Grenada won the bronze medal with  a throw of 88.54 m. It was the first time that a European athlete had failed to win a medal in the men's javelin, marking a significant moment in Olympic history. Nadeem's victory also highlights his growth in the sport, especially after overcoming injuries and limited resources during training. 8 Source 9 Source 10 Source. Arshad Nadeem smiles while holding his Olympic gold medal for the men’s javelin throw event at Stade de France, Paris, France.
