Selection committee cut down to five members

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reduced the number of members of the selection committee from 11  to just five. The move comes after the national team's recent disappointing performance. The revamped committee now includes former cricketers Aaqib Javed, Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq, along with former umpires Aleem Dar and data analyst Hasan Cheema. The  captain, head coach and former ex-officio members have been removed from the decision-making, thereby concentrating decision-making power in the hands of these five members, who will also have the authority over team selection for matches (6) Source.
